While it's easy for anyone to create or generate anime-style characters using AI and claim a leak, the situation becomes more intriguing when these images start getting removed due to copyright concerns.
One individual who posted a supposed Persona 6 logo on X received a DMCA notice, leading to the image's removal. They also mentioned that a YouTube channel sharing the images took down a related video. While this doesn't serve as definitive proof of a leak, it does suggest that Sega and Atlus might be close to making an official announcement.
The Timing Seems Right
With major gaming events on the horizon, the timing feels particularly ripe for a Persona 6 reveal. The PC Gaming Show is set to return on Sunday, June 7, at 12 pm PDT. Fans are encouraged to wishlist their anticipated games on the show's Steam page and tune in for the big reveals.
The Summer Game Fest stream is scheduled for tomorrow, and the Xbox Games Showcase will take place on Sunday. These high-profile events often serve as platforms for major game announcements, making them ideal opportunities for a Persona 6 reveal.
Persona 5 originally launched in 2016 and was re-released as Persona 5 Royal in the early 2020s. Since then, several spin-off games featuring its characters have been released, including Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, Persona 5 Strikers, Persona 5 Tactica, and Persona 5: The Phantom X.
