Arc System Works has officially expanded the roster for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, delivering massive news during Evo Japan 2026. The developer confirmed that both Savage Hulk and Shuri’s Black Panther will be playable fighters when the title launches later this summer.

These two legendary characters are set to join the "Fighting Avengers" lineup, significantly boosting the weight of a roster that is already shaping up to be one of the most formidable in the fighting game genre.

New Stages and Cosmic Threats in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls

Beyond the character reveals, the latest trailer provided a first look at a brand-new stage: Wakanda. This addition promises to bring iconic Marvel landscapes to life for competitive players looking for high-stakes environments.

The footage also introduced The Champion, a mysterious "cosmic conqueror" currently roaming Earth in search of worthy opponents. As Arc System Legend Works continues to build out the world, players can expect:

  • A diverse roster of classic comic book heroes and villains.
  • High-fidelity combat mechanics from the masters at Arc System Works.
  • New environments that deepen the immersion of the Marvel universe.

Hidden Carnage Tease Spotted in New Trailer

While the focus was on the Fighting Avengers, eagle-eyed fans have spotted a potential Carnage tease tucked away in the trailer's final moments. The footage features a chilling Symbiote snarl and screen distortions that have left the community speculating about future DLC content.

During the distortion, Spider-Man’s face appears scratched out, accompanied by the number "361" in the bottom corner. Many fans believe this is a direct nod to The Amazing Spider-Man #361, the landmark issue marking Carnage's first full appearance. While we shouldn't expect official confirmation just yet, the evidence suggests a Symbiote arrival is imminent.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls arrives on PC and PlayStation 5 on August 6, 2026. If you want to get hands-on with the gameplay early, demos will be available at Combo Breaker 2026 on May 22 and Hong Kong Comic Con 2026 on May 29.
