The wait is finally over for horror fans. Behaviour Interactive has officially confirmed that Jason Voorhees is joining the roster of Dead by Daylight. The legendary slasher from the Friday the 13th franchise is set to make his terrifying debut on June 16, according to a brand-new trailer.

The Long-Awaited Arrival of Jason Voorhees

When Dead by Daylight first entered the scene, the landscape of licensed content was much smaller. At the time, Jason was already tied to Illfonic and Gun Media's Friday the 13th: The Game. However, after that project ceased operations due to complex Hollywood contract disputes, the masked killer was left without a digital home.

While he has recently made cameo appearances in titles like Call of Duty and Fortnite, his integration into the premier 4v1 asymmetrical horror game marks a massive milestone for the community.

Expanding the Dead by Daylight Killer Roster

Today, the game has evolved into a massive crossover hub, often described as a "spooky Fortnite" for horror enthusiasts. The roster of monsters is vast, featuring some of the most recognizable names in cinematic history.

Current iconic killers include:

  • Michael Myers (Halloween)
  • Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street)
  • The Xenomorph (Alien)
  • Pyramid Head (Silent Hill)

With the addition of Jason Voorhees, the game continues to cement its status as the ultimate destination for horror fans. We expect more details regarding this massive crossover to be revealed soon, so stay tuned for further updates leading up to the June 16 launch.
