Gameplay Livestream of Action-Driving Game Clutch Will Be Showcased This Week

Maverick Games has announced that it will host a gameplay livestream for its highly anticipated open-world action-driving game, Clutch, on Thursday, June 25. The event is set to take place at 9am PDT, noon EDT, 5pm BST, or 2am Friday June 26 AEST. This livestream promises to give fans a closer look at the game’s unique blend of high-speed driving, cinematic storytelling, and dynamic gameplay.

The stream will be hosted on YouTube by Mike Brown, the founder of Maverick Games and creative director of Clutch. Brown is no stranger to the racing genre, having worked as a principal game designer on Forza Horizon 4 and as the creative director for Forza Horizon 5. Joining him will be Ben Penrose, the art director of Clutch, who has previously served as associate art director on the original Forza Horizon and as art director for Forza Horizon 2 through to Forza Horizon 5.

According to the studio’s announcement, the livestream will showcase a variety of gameplay elements. Racing fans can expect to see “a sneak peek into the game’s cinematic narrative and its star-studded cast, the speed of the R1K pro circuit, the style of the underground street racing of the Midnight Collective, and the high-speed race-and-chase chaos of heists.” These elements combine to create a rich and varied experience that blends multiple genres of driving and action.

A Mediterranean Escape with Three Major City Hubs

Set on a sprawling map inspired by the iconic Mediterranean coastline of the French Riviera, Clutch will feature three major city hubs: Monaco, Cannes, and Saint-Tropez. These locations will serve as the backdrop for a range of racing and driving action, offering players diverse environments to explore and compete in.

The game will include a blend of exotic open-world driving, traditional circuit racing, street racing, and action-packed heists and pursuits. The heist sequences, in particular, will feature a selection of wild gadgets, like a grappling hook, turning Clutch into a mad fusion of Forza Horizon, Need for Speed, and Fast & Furious.

Launch Details and Platform Availability

Clutch is set to launch in Spring 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Fans of the genre are encouraged to mark their calendars and tune in for the livestream to get an exclusive look at what’s in store for this exciting new title.
