Play As Nicolas Cage In Call of Duty For Season 4 Reloaded
Call of Duty’s Season 4 Reloaded update is set to arrive later this week, bringing with it a star-studded addition to the roster of operators. Award-winning actor Nicolas Cage will join the ranks of Black Ops 7 and Warzone, marking one of the most anticipated additions in the franchise’s history. Alongside Cage’s inclusion, the update will introduce new weapons, limited-time events, and the highly anticipated Zombies map, Kowakujo. Fans of the Black Ops Classic mode will also be pleased to learn that it will now be a permanent feature in Black Ops 7.
Season 4 Reloaded will officially go live on June 25, and the midseason update is themed as Call of Duty's Summer of Action. This update promises a mix of fresh content and returning favorites, ensuring players have plenty to look forward to. Below, we break down the major highlights of this update.
New Weapons and Limited-Time Events
One of the standout features of Season 4 Reloaded is the introduction of new free weapons. Players will gain access to the Executioner's Duet, a powerful melee weapon, and the AN-94 assault rifle from Black Ops 2, which is set to be the final weapon of the season. These additions are sure to enhance gameplay and provide fresh strategies for both casual and competitive players.
Alongside these weapons, the Nick Cage event is a major highlight of the update. Cage, known for his iconic roles in films like National Treasure, Con Air, and Gone in 60 Seconds, joins the game as a new operator. His inclusion is part of a new event that includes both free and paid tracks, with the paid version priced at $10. While the event offers cosmetics inspired by Cage, the operator himself can only be unlocked through the paid pass.
New Multiplayer Maps and Modes
Season 4 Reloaded also adds two new maps and two new multiplayer modes. One of the maps is a remake of the Launch map from Black Ops 1, which has been reimagined as a 6v6 map set at a rocket launch facility. The other map, Zenith, is a brand-new 6v6 map set within Karma’s hidden cliffside manor. These additions bring fresh environments and strategic possibilities to the multiplayer experience.
In terms of game modes, Team Blueprint Sharpshooter is a new 6v6 mode where weapon blueprints rotate every few seconds. Each player receives the same new weapon during each cycle, and the mode continues until a team reaches the score limit. Instead of scorestreaks, players earn power-ups for elimination streaks. These bonuses include:
- 1-Streak: Faster movement speed
- 2-Streak: Faster reload speed
- 3-Streak: Faster sprint recovery
- 4-Streak: Faster aim-down-sights speed
- 5-Streak: Double score
The second new mode is Knife Fight, a melee-only variant of the popular Gunfight mode. This mode is expected to be a hit with players who enjoy fast-paced, close-quarters combat.
Black Ops Classic Update
The Black Ops Classic playlist, which features gameplay inspired by older titles in the series, is now a permanent addition to Black Ops 7. This mode removes the game’s advanced omnimovement and other modern equipment, offering a nostalgic experience for fans of the franchise. Season 4 Reloaded introduces a few more throwbacks to the playlist, including maps such as Launch, Fringe, Hacienda, and Gridlock.
New Zombies Map and Wonder Weapon
Season 4 Reloaded brings the new Zombies map, Kowakujo, which is set in Takeo’s family castle in Japan. The story revolves around Takeo’s struggle to fight against Nyxara’s army, liberate the Shadowsmith, and uncover the curse holding his soul. This map introduces a new enemy type called Oni, which are armored enemies wielding melee weapons and utilizing electricity-based powers.
The Wonder Weapon for this map remains a mystery, with Treyarch hinting that players will need to discover it through gameplay.
Endgame and New Features
A new act in Endgame called Operation King Killer is also introduced, alongside the Guardian skill track, which enhances a player's ability to withstand damage, support allies, and penalize attackers. The Psych Grenade is added as a new minor ability, offering players another tool to gain an edge in combat.
Warzone Map Update and New Modes
Rebirth Island, one of Warzone’s most popular maps, receives a seasonal makeover. The snow has melted around the prison, and the island now features a more colorful setting with updated grass and trees. This change adds a fresh aesthetic and new opportunities for gameplay.
New Warzone modes are also introduced, including Squad Gun, a variant of Call of Duty’s classic Gun Game mode. Players will drop into smaller Resurgence maps with the objective of cycling through a predetermined list of weapons, eliminating enemies to progress. The first squad to complete the cycle wins the match.
From July 9 to July 13, players can also participate in the limited-time Buy Back Quads mode. This returning mode challenges players to collect as much cash as possible, with eliminated players who have at least $4,000 automatically redeploying. This mode is sure to provide a fun and competitive experience for Warzone fans.
