This Retro Gaming Monitor Will Let You Play Old Consoles Just Like The ’90s

Before the days of flat-screen monitors and 4K quality, video games were played on big, square TVs that took up the whole living room. Today, Unico has unveiled its version of that old way to play — the ULW10 Retro Gaming Monitor — which will bring back the CRT gaming days of old with a new modern flair and a reasonable size.

A Throwback to Classic Gaming

The ULW10, also called the “Traveler,” features a 10.1-inch display at a 4:3 aspect ratio, with support for five different inputs: S-Video, RGB, RCA, VGA, and HDMI. Three color options will also be available: off-white, black, and a red-and-white design resembling the Famicom. These features make it a versatile option for retro gamers who want to connect multiple classic consoles or even modern devices.

Buttons and knobs on the back of the device will allow for volume and RGB adjustment on the fly, while the monitor also features a detachable back piece, which allows users to store cables, controllers, and more. This thoughtful design makes the ULW10 not just a display but a complete gaming station that fits neatly into any setup.

More Retro Projects from Unico

Along with the ULW10, Unico has announced another home arcade cabinet, the Raiden R19, which will feature multiple titles from the classic shoot-'em-up franchise Raiden. The company also plans a restock of its original cabinet, the SNK MVSX, bringing back a beloved piece of gaming history for fans.

A Kickstarter campaign for the ULW 10 is planned for August 20, with early-bird pricing targeted at $279. The device, along with the MVSX and Raiden R19 cabinets, will be on display at Unico’s booth at EVO 2026 this weekend. This is a must-see for retro gaming enthusiasts looking to experience the past in a modern, convenient way.
