The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival Reimagines All Out War as a Beat 'Em Up in First Trailer

Developer Odaclick Game Studio and publisher Trailmark Games have revealed The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival, a new pixelated beat 'em up featuring iconic characters such as Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne. The single-player title, set in the world of AMC's The Walking Dead zombie franchise, was officially announced today with its debut trailer. The game is expected to launch on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S, though no release date has been confirmed yet.

In the first 30-second gameplay clip, it's clear that players will be able to control Rick, Daryl, and Michonne — each with their own distinct weapons, directly pulled from the main show. Rick is shown wielding his signature magnum revolver, while Daryl uses knives and a crossbow to take down enemies. Michonne, as expected, is armed with her iconic katana.

The game reimagines one of the most intense story arcs from the The Walking Dead universe: All Out War. This storyline saw Rick and his group go up against The Saviors, a group led by the notorious Negan, who wields a barbed-wire-covered baseball bat. According to the official description, the campaign will rework this conflict, incorporating walkers, threats, and surprises drawn from across the world of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Players will explore familiar locations from the show — including the Sanctuary, Hilltop, and Alexandria — enhanced by dynamic set pieces and environmental hazards.

The trailer showcases the trio taking on both zombie and human enemies in a fast-paced, action-packed style. Characters like Negan and Simon are described as “multi-phase boss battles,” with Winslow and the Well Walker also making appearances as bosses. While the developers have not mentioned any multiplayer features, they do indicate that players will be able to master each character’s moves through various difficulty settings.

Although no release date has been shared, a demo is currently available for Steam players to try on PC. Trailmark Games mentioned in a press release that today's reveal is just the "first of many announcements" from the new publisher. Odaclick, the game's developer, is also responsible for The Karate Kid: Street Rumble, which features a similar gameplay style to what was shown in The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival.
