The next playtest for the highly anticipated multiplayer title Horizon Hunters Gathering is approaching quickly. While the upcoming testing window is technically open to all interested players, securing a spot requires a bit of luck, as access remains limited through a selection process.

How To Join the Horizon Hunters Gathering Playtest

If you want to get your hands on the game before its official release, you need to act fast. The second closed playtest is scheduled to run from May 22-25. Much like the initial testing phase held in February, this session will be available to players on both PS5 and PC via Steam.

To enter the running for a spot, follow these steps:

  • Visit the official PlayStation Beta Program website.
  • Register your interest for the upcoming testing period.
  • Keep an eye on your inbox to see if you have been selected.

New Characters and Expanded Content

Developers are significantly expanding the scope of the game for this second testing phase. While the first test introduced players to the world, this update brings much more variety to the battlefield.

The upcoming Horizon Hunters Gathering playtest will feature:

  • Two new characters: Players can jump in as Ensa or Shadow.
  • Returning favorites: The original roster including Rem, Sun, and Axle will all be playable.
  • A "playable episode": This introduces a narrative-driven component where players engage with the story's lore while battling machines.

This new episode promises to deepen the experience, offering vital story details that flesh out the multiplayer universe as you fight against the machine threat.
