An R-rated Bloodborne movie is officially in development at Sony Pictures, and YouTube legend Seán McLoughlin, known to millions as JackSepticEye, is stepping into the role of producer. Despite the high-profile attachment, the creator insists his involvement isn't about a quick payday.

Prioritizing Authenticity in the Bloodborne Movie

During a recent interview with IGN, McLoughlin made it clear that his motivation stems from his love for the source material rather than financial gain. He is determined to ensure the project respects the legacy of the beloved FromSoftware title.

"I'm approaching it as a fan of it, not as like I want to make a thing to make money," he said. "That's not my end goal at all. And I know the fans out there are very passionate about Bloodborne."

He further noted the universal respect the game commands: "It's one of those games that even if it's not your favorite game, if somebody else said it, you're like, 'Yeah, that makes sense.'"

Capturing the Essence of Yharnam

When discussing the creative direction for the upcoming Bloodborne movie, McLoughlin highlighted a desire to stay true to the original atmosphere. The production team is focusing on recreating the specific dread and tension found in the game.

The producer aims to deliver "anything that gets us as close to the mood and feel of the game" without disrupting the core elements fans love. He expressed a strong desire to avoid unnecessary changes, stating he doesn't want to "change too many things or mess stuff up."
