Season 3 Reloaded arrives in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone next week, bringing a massive midseason overhaul to the franchise. Activision has officially revealed the full roadmap for this update, which is packed with new weapons, a RoboCop crossover event, and fresh Zombies content. Players can also look forward to new limited-time modes (LTMs) in Warzone and significant updates to the Endgame mode.
New Weapons and Attachments for Black Ops 7
One of the primary highlights of the upcoming Season 3 Reloaded update is the expansion of the arsenal. The weapon pool will see the introduction of the Siren special weapon alongside the Katana melee weapon.
To further customize your loadouts, several new weapon attachments will be available to unlock:
- Lightframe PDW Conversion for the MK.75 light machine gun
- Badlands Pistol Kit for the Warden 300 marksman rifle
- Fabricator Mag for the Carbon 57 submachine gun
- Apex Sweeper Rig for the Ryden 45k submachine gun
Major Events: RoboCop and Military Appreciation
Call of Duty is officially crossing over with the iconic sci-fi film RoboCop. This event features both free and paid event tracks, with the paid passes typically priced at $10. The crossover includes themed cosmetics and provides the unlock for the new Siren special weapon. This event will be active across multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone.
Other notable events include:
- Free Run MP Event: A leaderboard challenge in multiplayer where players race through an obstacle course to earn camos and cosmetic rewards.
- Call of Duty Endowment Event: Held in honor of Military Appreciation Month, this event offers additional rewards across all major modes.
New Maps and Limited-Time Modes
The update introduces Onsen, a brand-new small map set within a Japanese hot spring, designed for 6v6 and 2v2 combat. Additionally, remastered versions of the classic Hacienda and Summit maps are returning for standard 6v6 play.
New gameplay mechanics are also arriving via two new modes:
- Heat Wave Havoc: A cooperative mode where players earn "heat level" abilities.
- Freeze Tag: A competitive mode where players must deal lethal damage to freeze opponents for points.
For fans of movement-based gameplay, the Free Run mode returns to Black Ops 7 with the new Ascent map. This obstacle course features 10 distinct zones and offers specific challenges:
- Complete the course three times to earn the "Scaled" emblem and 1,000 XP.
- Collect all Ciphers to earn the "Upswing" weapon charm and 2,500 XP.
- Finish in under 14 minutes with fewer than 10 faults to earn the "Innovate" universal Weapon Camo and 5,000 XP.
Zombies Update: Totenreich Arrives
The highly anticipated Zombies map, Totenreich, is set to launch on April 30 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. Set in a WWII-era fishing town trapped within the Dark Aether, the map features the classic robots from the Black Ops 1 Origins map. Players can also look forward to the new Wonder Weapon, the Jotunn Star, a lantern-shaped, wide-sweeping melee weapon.
Warzone LTMs and New Equipment
Warzone players will see significant changes with two new limited-time modes. Hot Pursuit arrives for Black Ops Royale on Avalon, featuring a "cops and robbers" gameplay loop centered around vehicles. Meanwhile, Prop Hunt Royale brings 24v24 hide-and-seek action to Rebirth Island.
Finally, new utility items are being added to the Battle Royale and Resurgence modes:
- The Cluster Grenade from Black Ops Royale is moving into standard play.
- New Spikes, described as an experimental military stimulant, are being introduced to the fray.
In Endgame, players can engage in Operation Broken Mirror within Avalon or face the Mega Abomination in Nightmare Zones to earn Exotic Weapon Cases. The update also introduces the Thermal Spike, a major new ability that emits a powerful, lingering blast of flames.
