Crimson Desert Patch 2.0.1: Damiane’s Armor Fix and New Finisher
Just three days after the previous update, developer Pearl Abyss has released a new patch for Crimson Desert. This latest 2.0.1 update addresses critical visual bugs and introduces significant combat enhancements, including a powerful new finisher for the protagonist.
The most immediate change addresses the controversy surrounding Damiane’s Elegant Carmine leather armor. Earlier this month, the armor’s appearance sparked backlash when it inadvertently covered more of her body than intended. Pearl Abyss confirmed that this "abnormal" look was not planned, and the patch now corrects the visual model. This update aims to quell the recent wave of negative reviews on Steam triggered by the issue.
Combat Overhaul and New Moves
Beyond visual fixes, the patch expands gameplay mechanics by allowing players to seek rematches with more bosses. This addition provides opportunities to refine strategies against challenging encounters that were previously one-time fights.
For the main character, Kliff, the update introduces the Blinding Flash Finisher. This new unarmed move allows players to conclude a combo with a superhero-like attack that emits a massive shockwave, dealing significant damage to nearby enemies.
Mounts and Additional Updates
The update also enhances mobility and combat variety for other characters:
- Damiane and Oongka have received their own versions of the Aerial Stab move, adding verticality to their combat styles.
- New Mounts: Players can now tame and ride new bears and wolves, offering fresh traversal options for the game’s expansive world.
These changes demonstrate Pearl Abyss's commitment to refining the Crimson Desert experience, balancing quick bug fixes with meaningful content additions.
