Embark Introduces New Rewards for Arc Raiders Expeditions

Embark continues to experiment with the mechanics of Arc Raiders expeditions, and this time, the changes are significant. The fourth expedition is shifting the main incentive for wiping from permanent extra skill points to a mix of premium currency and blueprints. This shift reflects the growing interest among players in obtaining blueprints, which are more valuable than the slight speed boost from skill points.

In the new format, completing each of the five departure objectives guarantees 150 Raider Tokens and one blueprint that will persist through the wipe. Players can accumulate up to 750 Raider Tokens by grinding through all objectives—equivalent to roughly $7 in premium currency. The blueprints earned are randomly selected from a pool that includes some highly sought-after items, such as:

  • Heavy Gun Parts Blueprint
  • Complex Gun Parts Blueprint
  • Padded Stock Blueprint
  • Extended Barrel III Blueprint
  • Muzzle Brake III Blueprint
  • Stable Stock III Blueprint
  • Vertical Grip III Blueprint
  • Venator Blueprint
  • Rascal Blueprint
  • Osprey Blueprint
  • Trailblazer Blueprint
  • Anvil Blueprint
  • Bettina Blueprint
  • Hullcracker Blueprint
  • Tempest Blueprint
  • Vulcano Blueprint
  • Dolabra Blueprint
  • Aphelion Blueprint
  • Combat Augment Mk 3 Flanking Blueprint
  • Tactical Augment Mk 3 Defensive Blueprint
  • Looting Augment Mk 3 Safekeeper Blueprint
  • Looting Augment Mk 3 Survivor Blueprint
  • Wolfpack Blueprint
  • Powered Descender Blueprint
  • Snap Hook Blueprint

Addressing Player Frustration with Wipe Mechanics

As noted by Arc Raiders diehard Tim Clark, this is not the first time Embark has allowed blueprints to survive through wipes. Players can already purchase up to five expedition vault slots from Ermal, which preserve items stored within them. If players fully utilize the challenges and vault, they can get a head start on the next wipe with 10 blueprints.

However, the issue remains that expeditions must be completed in order and only once per season. If players haven’t started on the first three, they may feel left behind, which Embark is aware of. The studio acknowledges the frustration of new players who are just beginning their expeditions and promises to find a balance between rewarding veterans and offering new players fair and fun ways to catch up.

Upcoming Changes and Expedition Window

The window for the fourth expedition opens on July 7th at 1pm CEST/11am UTC/4am PT and closes on July 21st at 10am CEST/8am UTC/1am PT. This change marks a step forward in refining the expedition system, and Embark has hinted at more major updates in the future. Stay tuned for further updates as the studio continues to refine its approach to Arc Raiders.
