Finally, The Saints Row 2 DLC We Were Denied on PC

For years, PC players were left in the cold when it came to Saints Row 2. When Volition released the game’s three major DLC packs in 2009, they were exclusively bound to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. If you owned the Windows port released earlier that year, you were stuck with a buggier base game and zero access to the expansion content. It was a frustrating reality for a platform that often demands more, and it meant missing out on unique features like the iconic Balding Mullet hairstyle.

The first two packs, Ultor Exposed and Corporate Warfare, introduced missions targeting Ultor, the evil corporation shared with Volition’s Red Faction series. They also added vehicles, clothing, hairstyles, and an NPC homie voiced by Tera Patrick. The third, the Unkut Pack, dumped over 60 extra customization options into the mix. Yet, for PC users, these remained a digital mirage unless you were willing to pay for Microsoft Points on a console.

The Juiced Patch Delivers Long-Awaited Content

That exclusion era is now officially over. The modding team behind the Juiced Patch, which resolves numerous technical issues in the original Windows port, has compiled all the single-player components of the DLC into a single, unified mod. While the team notes that multiplayer maps and modes "might come at a later date," the current release focuses entirely on the single-player experience, which can also be played in co-op.

This mod doesn’t just port the content; it improves it. The team has addressed specific oversights from the original DLC release, such as arc-based unlocks that were incorrectly received instantly. Additionally, they have fixed vehicle issues that went unnoticed in the original 2009 release, ensuring a smoother experience for modern players.

How to Install the PC DLC Mod

Getting this content on your PC is straightforward, provided you follow the compatibility requirements. To install the Saints Row 2 DLC mod, you must adhere to the following prerequisites:

  • Juiced Patch Version: You need Juiced Patch 9.0.0 or higher. Older versions are not compatible.
  • Clean Save File: Ensure you are using a clean save file to avoid conflicts.
  • Mod Compatibility: Simple tweaks, such as those for radio stations, are generally safe. However, major overhauls like the Gentlemen of the Row mod are not compatible with this DLC package.

Once you have the correct patch installed, download the PC DLC and unzip the DLC folder directly into the Saints Row 2 root directory. With that done, you can finally step back into Stilwater with all the content you were previously denied.
