Finding Ship Models is a big part of the new Riven Tides update in Arc Raiders, since you need these trinkets for the Avian Alarm project. It makes sense that a sandy coastal map would introduce a bunch of boat-based trinkets—god knows what function they perform in a bird-based alarm system, but honestly, who knows how anything works in Arc Raiders?
There are also a few new quests, such as Battening Down, Shoring Up Defenses, and Collision Course. Otherwise, though, here's the best way to get Ship Models in Arc Raiders.
Where to find Ship Models in Arc RaidersThe best way to get Ship Models is via the Beachcombing map conditionEmbark StudiosYou can get the different rarities from the buried containers you find with the Dockmaster's DetectorEmbark StudiosFirst off, it's important to note that Ship Models only seem to be available as trinkets on the new Riven Tide map. I tried a Bird City event just to check this and I didn't find a single one, so either I'm very unlucky, or as new items they're exclusive to the new map, which would make sense.
As is generally the case for trinkets, you can find Ship Models in Residential areas, such as the Hotel Panorama Azzurro, but you can also find them as loose items around the map. I found one in a small building in the Weighing Checkpoint, which is Industrial/Mechanical, so they are dotted all over. The best way to get Ship Models, however, is the Beachcoming map condition for Riven Tide. Similar to Bird City, this map condition takes over the area, so it's just a part of the regular matchmaking pool.
You can also find ships in the hotel and loose around the Riven Tide map (Image credit: Embark Studios)In this event, you have to use the Dockmaster's Detector to find caches on the beach north of the Port Authority Building and dig them up. However, most caches seem to contain a Ship Model of varying rarity. In every cache I opened, I got a ship, including the purple rarity "Sirena Dorata," so you should be able to quickly find them. Here are all of the Ship Models available:
- Wind Sprite (common)
- Twilight Compass (uncommon)
- Velocity (rare)
- Sirena Dorata (epic)
- Leviathan's Crown (legendary)
Unfortunately, Dockmaster's Detectors do wear down after a while, similar to Snap Hooks, but you can get more via the first stage of the Avian Alarm project, find them on the map, and you might even be able to craft them (though I haven't located a blueprint yet).
