KPop Demon Hunters Cast Reunites for Special Online Performances

The stars of the Netflix anime sensation KPop Demon Hunters are coming back together for a series of exclusive online performances. This special event is part of an massive McDonald's "Battle Of The Bands" collaboration, which previously introduced fans to the viral Demon Sauce and the Derpy McFlurry.

Starting April 26, fans can witness these digital concerts, but access requires a bit of hunting. To view the full shows, users must download the McDonald’s app and scan the Derpy Access Card included with special edition Huntrix and Saja Boys meals.

Exclusive Performances from the Cast

The lineup for these online performances features the actual voices behind the film's most iconic musical acts:

  • Huntrix: EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI will perform a brand-new song together.
  • Saja Boys: Andrew Choi, samUIL Lee, Kevin Woo, Neckwav, and Danny Chung will make their debut as a real-world musical group.

This crossover event turns the animated rivalry between the two groups into a tangible experience for the global fandom.

McDonald's Battle Of The Bands Menu Items

The collaboration brought the world of the film to life through limited-edition food items that arrived in stores on March 31. To participate in the KPop Demon Hunters experience, fans can look out for these specific menu offerings:

  • Spicy Saja McMuffin: Inspired by the "fire of Gwi-Ma."
  • Huntrix Ramyeon McShaker Fries.
  • Special Photocards: A Kpop staple included with every meal.
  • Derpy Access Card: The essential item needed to unlock the online performances.

"KPop Demon Hunters has ignited an incredibly passionate global fandom, and we’re always looking for authentic ways to bring fans deeper into the worlds they love," said Marian Lee, Chief Marketing Officer at Netflix. She noted that the McDonald's partnership allowed the brand to draw inspiration from Korean culture and food traditions central to the film.

A Global Phenomenon

Since its release on Netflix last summer, KPop Demon Hunters has become a juggernaut, surpassing 500 million views by December. The film's critical success is equally impressive, having secured Academy Awards for both Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. While a sequel is officially in development, fans will have to be patient as it is not expected to arrive immediately.
