New images showing the LEGO Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith set have leaked online, revealing the colossal Middle-earth city in all its glory. This massive build is reported to contain 8,278 pieces, making it the largest LEGO Lord of the Rings set ever released.
Massive Scale and Price for the LEGO Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith Set
This new release significantly dwarfs previous sets like Rivendell (6,167 bricks) and the towering Barad-dûr (5,471). However, that impressive brick count comes with a significant cost. Fans are expecting the set to be priced at $649.99 when it launches on June 1, 2026.
Detailed Features and Included Minifigures
The design of the LEGO Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith set scales down the iconic city to include everything from its front gates to the prominent cliff edge and towering White Citadel. The reverse of the build features a clever cut-away of the Citadel's interior, allowing fans to recreate the memorable tomato-popping scene from Return of the King.
The leak also confirms several highly anticipated minifigures are included in the collection:
- Pippin and Denethor
- King Aragorn
- Gandalf
- Faramir
- Four Gondor soldiers
- Shadowfax the horse
The Origin of the Leak
While LEGO has yet to make the design official, these images surfaced via instruction manuals posted online by fans. Interestingly, the design matches a version that LEGO accidentally showcased on Instagram before pulling it offline.
With the June 1 release date approaching, we expect an official announcement very soon. Stay tuned for more updates as this massive Middle-earth build nears its debut.
