Nintendo fans have some great news today as the latest Pokémon Pokopia update for the Switch 2 is now officially live. This patch introduces a much-needed upgrade to your gameplay, specifically regarding the ability to relocate Pokémon Centers.
Since its exclusive launch on Switch 2 last month, this cozy sandbox title has become a massive hit. With more than 2.2 million copies sold so far, the game is already proving to be a significant sales success for Nintendo. While much of this patch focuses on bug fixes, the quality-of-life improvements are substantial.
What’s New in the Pokémon Pokopia Update?
The standout feature of version 1.0.4 is the ability to move Pokémon Centers even while in-game events are currently underway. As the developers continue the rollout of post-launch content, this new flexibility will be essential for managing your territory without interruption.
This Pokémon Pokopia update also addresses several progression-blocking bugs found in the Bleak Beach region. Players will no longer have to worry about certain quests stalling or NPCs becoming unreachable during critical gameplay moments.
Fixing Bugs and Community Milestones
The community has been incredibly active, pushing the game's engine to its limits by building advanced creations, including a fully functional working calculator. Other players are leaning into the series' deep lore—most famously by hiding Mew under a truck—and even interacting with an official IKEA crossover.
To ensure a smoother experience, the developers have resolved several issues involving key characters like Professor Tangrowth and Peakychu. This ensures that NPCs can move freely and quests can be completed as intended.
