TSMC is taking employee perks into a unique direction by blending semiconductor culture with lifestyle merchandise. According to reports from the China Times News Network, staff members can now purchase several "self-funded gifts" that celebrate the company's identity through wearable tech and household goods.

TSMC Brand Merchandise: From Fashion to Kitchenware

The most talked-about item in this new collection is a pair of TSMC-branded shoes. These iconic kicks gained fame after they were modeled by Chairman C.C. Wei during last year’s company sports meet in November. Now, employees can officially own a pair for NT$2,200 (approximately US$70).

If footwear isn't your preference, the company has offered a variety of other themed goods at the same price point:

  • TSMC co-branded Tatung rice cooker featuring a circuit-themed design.
  • Exclusive Eminent carry-on suitcases.
  • Specialized ASO sneakers.
  • Various other limited-run lifestyle items.

The chip-themed rice cooker is particularly notable for its design flourishes, including a mirrored silver TSMC logo on the lid and a unique wafer-shaped steaming plate. It is a highly specific piece of hardware that allows workers to bring their professional life into the kitchen.

Limited Edition Items and Charity Contributions

Because these items are produced in limited runs, the TSMC brand merchandise has already developed a reputation for being highly collectible. While there is significant interest in these goods, the TSMC Welfare Committee has set clear boundaries to maintain exclusivity.

To ensure the spirit of the program remains intact, the committee has stated that all items are intended for personal use only. Specifically, employees are prohibited from:

  • Reselling the merchandise.
  • Gifting items to non-employees.
  • Using the products for commercial purposes.

Beyond the novelty of owning a wafer-shaped steaming plate or CEO-modeled shoes, there is a philanthropic element to the purchase. A portion of the proceeds from these sales will be donated directly to the TSMC Charity Foundation, making the acquisition of these goods a contribution to a larger cause. The announcement has already generated significant buzz among the workforce, with many employees eager to secure their piece of company history.
