Leaked photos from the set of A24’s upcoming Elden Ring movie have surfaced, offering a tantalizing hint that we may soon see even the influence of Queen Marika on screen. According to reports via Shortlist, these images suggest exactly which characters and locations from the beloved FromSoftware title will make the jump to cinema.

Writer and director Alex Garland is currently filming a portion of the production at the Greenwich Naval College in South London. The set appears to be heavily shrouded in mist, likely created via dry ice or fog machines to enhance the atmosphere.

Clues Found on the A24 Set

The leaked external shots of the college reveal several greenscreens, which will undoubtedly allow CGI artists to add the massive, glowing Erdtree during post-production. Beyond the technical setup, specific set dressings offer major clues about the film's direction:

  • Leyndell Streets: A box labeled with this name was spotted, suggesting the Greenwich Naval College serves as the setting for the capital city.
  • Stormveil: A second container labeled "Stormveil" was seen holding an assortment of handmade brooms.

Connecting Godrick to Queen Marika

The presence of a "Stormveil" container is particularly exciting for fans of the game's lore. Stormveil Castle is the site of a major confrontation with Godrick the Grafted, a powerful Demigod and a distant relative of Queen Marika.

In the game, Godrick famously utilizes the taboo "art" of grafting, attaching limbs from others to his own body to increase his strength. While Godrick remains an optional boss in the original game, his inclusion in the film would bring much of the royal bloodline's drama to life.

Whether the movie focuses on the capital or delves into the grisly nature of the Grafted remains to be seen. However, with locations like Leyndell and Stormveil appearing to be confirmed, the scale of this adaptation looks immense.
