Xbox has officially confirmed that its upcoming Fable reboot will be delayed to February 2027. The delay follows reports that Microsoft had internally considered postponing Fable, though the official Fable social media account previously denied any such plans, reaffirming the fall 2026 release window. Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb previously mentioned concerns at Microsoft about Fable launching in the same year as GTA 6, which could affect its visibility and sales. However, the new date now positions Fable for a release after GTA 6, potentially reducing competition and allowing for a more focused marketing campaign.
Despite the delay, Microsoft continues to solidify its release schedule for other major titles.
