With 70 million players to date, Dead by Daylight has grown far beyond a cult hit — and its Black Banquet event is a prime example of why. This annual celebration brings a host of free skins, cosmetics, and limited-time rewards to players, all tied to a series of challenges known as Black Banquet quests. Running from June 25 to July 16, the event offers a unique blend of gameplay mechanics and rewards, with new challenges added weekly. Here’s everything you need to know about the event and how to maximize your rewards.
All Black Banquet quests
The Black Banquet event currently features 13 quests, with more to be added each week. Some are milestone quests, which scale in difficulty and reward as you complete them multiple times. Others are completion quests, where finishing a set number of tasks unlocks specific rewards. Most of the free Black Banquet cosmetics for characters like Dwight Fairfield and The Trapper are tied to these quests, but there are also additional free items available elsewhere in the event.
One standout community quest requires the entire DBD community to complete 100,000,000 total trials during the event. Already, the count is in the hundreds of thousands, showing just how engaged players are. Below is a breakdown of the quests and their rewards:

Morsels, banquet tables, and poisoning
Understanding the Black Banquet mechanics is crucial for completing the quests and maximizing your rewards. Morsels are food items that survivors can find and eat, or place on banquet tables for allies to use. The Toothy Torte Offering in the Bloodweb gives killers a starting morsel, making it easier to place and eat during gameplay.
Different morsels offer unique effects, like instant healing or increased movement speed. Killers, on the other hand, start each round with poison charges, and using the Toothy Torte Offering maximizes this number. Poison can be applied to banquet tables, pallets, generators, portals, and even thrown at survivors. If a survivor eats a poisoned morsel, their sprint ability is temporarily reduced.
These mechanics only activate if you queue into the Black Banquet matchmaking specifically — be cautious not to join regular games due to muscle memory.
Banquet Coins and rewards
As you complete quests, you'll earn Banquet Coins, a limited-time currency exclusive to the Black Banquet event. These can be used to purchase cosmetics and other items. Any unspent coins will be converted into Bloodpoints after the event ends.
To collect all available rewards, you’ll need 1,375 Banquet Coins. The first wave of quests already offers 1,100 coins, and two more waves are coming, so you won’t need to complete every single quest to get everything.
Black Banquet store items
For those looking to expand their collection, four Black Banquet-themed items are available in the shop:
- Claudette's Dearest Claudette skin
- The Doctor's Dearest Herman skin
- The Legion's Dearest Julie skin
- Kate's Dearest Kate skin
Each costs 1,080 Auric Cells, which is roughly $10. These items are perfect for players who want to add a unique touch to their character loadouts.
Black Banquet DBD Twitch Drops
For DBD completionists or those looking for free extra rewards, there's one more skin to unlock. By watching partnered DBD streams on Twitch during the event, you can claim a new outfit, mask, and weapon for The Oni killer. If you haven't linked your Behaviour and Twitch accounts yet, now is the time to do so.
The Black Banquet event ends on July 16, so make sure to complete your quests and collect all your rewards before the deadline.
