Among Us Dev Reveals A Brand-New Game
Innersloth, the developer behind the wildly popular Among Us, has announced a brand-new entry in the franchise during Summer Game Fest. This upcoming title is called Among Us Story: On Guard, and it promises to take players on a narrative-driven journey through space as a Crewmate tasked with shipwide security.
The game's description teases an intense experience where everything is fine—until an unexpected MURDER throws the crew into chaos. Players will need to prove their innocence before the Impostor can eliminate the rest of the crew, including themselves. This new title shifts the focus from the usual Impostor role to the Guard, offering a fresh perspective on the familiar Among Us universe.
A New Perspective in the Among Us Universe
In Among Us Story: On Guard, players will step into the role of the Guard, a character responsible for monitoring and maintaining security on the ship. This new gameplay angle allows for a more investigative and narrative-driven experience compared to the traditional Among Us format.
The game's mechanics involve not only identifying the Impostor but also completing tasks by uncovering clues. This blend of investigation and action adds a new layer of depth to the Among Us experience. While details are still sparse, the game is currently available on Steam's wishlist, and a free demo will be released on June 15.
