After plenty of teasers, Embark has officially revealed the Riven Tides update, marking the single-biggest expansion to Arc Raiders yet. This massive content drop introduces a brand-new map, the first since Stella Montis arrived with the North Line update in November 2025.
Exploring the New Riven Tides Map
The new map features a sprawling beach theme, complete with a long coastline and the once-luxurious Panorama Azzurro Resort. Players can explore docks and scavenge through old Exodus buildings scattered across the landscape.
Beyond just exploration, the Riven Tides update introduces Beachcombing, a unique map condition exclusive to this holiday destination. Using the Dockmaster's Detector, you can search for buried treasure hidden beneath the sand. It is essentially a metal detector that allows players to hunt for loot in the coastal terrain.
New Threats and the Avian Alarm Project
Alongside the new terrain comes a bizarre new threat: the Arc Turbine. This massive, hovering robot shaped like an ice cream cone is equipped with various "defensive measures." As a large-type Arc, it is expected to provide a challenge similar to the Queen and Matriarch enemies.
To help navigate these changes, players can participate in the new Avian Alarm project. This five-stage endeavor tasks you with building a bird cage to monitor tremors using birds as sensors. Completing this will earn you several rewards:
- Raider Tokens
- The Bird House backpack attachment
- The essential Dockmaster's Detector
Limited-Time Event: Last Resort
Don't miss the limited-time Last Resort event, running from the launch on April 28 until May 25. During this window, any XP earned from matches—on any map—will automatically convert into Merits.
This allows you to progress through three pages of rewards, including the Junior outfit, Hydrologist backpack, and more Raider Tokens. You can also boost your Merits by hunting for miniature Ship Models during gameplay.

Major System Improvements
Two major system updates are also arriving alongside the new content. The next Expedition window coincides with the launch, but players will now progress it by hunting robots instead of hoarding loot.
Additionally, Trials are being reworked to remove the frustrating scheduling issues that have plagued the system since its initial release.
