Black Ops 7 and Warzone Patch Notes: Weapon Tuning and Ranked Play Changes
A new update arrived for Call of Duty on April 21, bringing significant changes to the game's combat loop. The latest Black Ops 7 and Warzone patch notes detail impactful weapon tuning across various modes and introduce more exotic guns for Warzone.
Additionally, the update introduces critical Black Ops 7 Ranked Play changes for multiplayer. These adjustments are designed to better align the in-game weapon meta with the competitive standards of the Call of Duty League.
Multiplayer Balancing: Season 3 Weapon Adjustments
The update includes essential balancing for several Season 3 weapons in multiplayer. Developers focused on addressing player feedback to ensure that high-performing weapons remain controllable and effective in various combat scenarios.
MK35 ISR Buffs
The MK35 ISR assault rifle received a small buff following reports that it lacked sufficient stopping power. While the gun is noted for being an easy-to-handle option with low recoil, Treyarch noted that feedback suggested it wasn't quite powerful enough. The following changes were implemented:
- Increased headshot multiplier
- Expanded maximum damage range
- Improved sprint-to-fire time
VST Submachine Gun Improvements
The season's VST submachine gun also received a much-needed buff. Although the weapon is incredibly powerful, player feedback indicated that the vertical recoil was far too extreme for consistent use.
To combat this, developers have slightly reduced the kick strength of the VST. Furthermore, various attachments have been buffed to provide even more effective recoil reduction, making the weapon much more viable in high-stakes engagements.
