Activision has revealed the full roadmap and details for Season 4 of Black Ops 7 and Warzone, arriving on June 4. This new season of Call of Duty brings a new battle pass, more weapons to unlock, additional maps, and new limited-time events. Warzone's popular Fortune's Keep Resurgence map also returns. All the major highlights of Season 4 can be found below.

More weapons to unlock Season 4's new VX Compact assault rifle

Season 4 is packed with six free DLC weapons to unlock. Some weapons will be available in the battle pass and others will arrive later in the season.

The Season 4 introduces the following weapons:

  • KRS-7.62 marksman rifle (Launch)
  • CBRS-3 Submachine gun (Launch)
  • Grimhawk Special weapon (In-Season)
  • VX Compact Assault rifle (In-Season)
  • Executioner's Duet melee weapon (Mid-Season)
  • AN-94 Assault rifle (Mid-Season)

Additionally, the update will include new attachments, camos, and weapon challenges.

New battle pass and BlackCell Season 4's battle pass instant unlock rewards

As to be expected, Season 4 adds a brand-new battle pass to level up. The Season 4 battle pass features over 100 pieces of unlockable content (excluding BlackCell) and includes two base weapons to unlock.

Leon Rook, a new Guild operator, is the headlining operator for the standard Season 4 battle pass. For BlackCell, the season’s exclusive operator is Catalyst, who is described as a specialist in chemical warfare infused with a virus for enhanced combat operations.

The paid $10 pass is needed in order to unlock all the standard pass rewards, and the $30 BlackCell bundle is available for those wanting even more cosmetics to unlock.

Purchasing the Season 4 battle pass will immediately unlock the Instant Rewards Page, including the following items:

  • 10% Battle Pass XP Boost
  • The "Hammerlock" operator skin for the new Rook operator plus a BlackCell variant for those who purchase BlackCell
  • The "Chisler" Legendary Blueprint for the VST SMG
  • The "Forged Steel" Weapon Charm
  • The "War Forged" Loading Screen

Players who purchase and complete the Season 4 battle pass will earn the following completion rewards:

  • The "Devastator" Ultra Skin for Rook plus a BlackCell variant for those who purchase BlackCell
  • The "Archdevil" Legendary Blueprint for the MK35 ISR Assault Rifle
  • 200 CoD Points
  • The "Revenge" Animated Calling Card
  • The "Vehement" Animated Emblem
  • "Perkaholic" Ultra GobbleGum (x1)
Limited-time events

Season 4 includes the new Illicit Cargo Camo event, which will be available across all modes and reward players with remastered weapon camos from Black Ops 3.

The Nuked Challenge event will arrive in Zombies mode, allowing players to complete challenges on the new Nuked Survival map for new themed rewards.

Activision teased more events would arrive with the midseason update, including the Summer of Action Daily Login event, Ranked Series events for multiplayer and Resurgence, and a new event for the season's upcoming Zombies map.

New seasons of Ranked Play Season 4 Ranked Play rewards

New seasons of Ranked Play arrive in both multiplayer and Warzone. There are new seasonal rewards to earn for both modes.

For multiplayer, there are changes to the ranking system and party size restrictions. Crimson players will now be free to form parties of up to four players, without size restrictions. Iridescent and Top 250 players will continue to be restricted to two-player parties, which Activision says is to ensure that parties do not give a competitive advantage to players competing for the top rank.

SR gains and losses will now be broken down in detail in the updated Ranked Play Post-Match Summary shown after each match, so players will always know exactly how any SR change was calculated.

Black Ops 7 multiplayer maps The season's new Primetime multiplayer map

Season 4 adds five new maps: Liminal, Primetime, Vertigo, Zenith, and Launch.

  • Liminal arrives at launch as a brand-new small map for 2v2 and 6v6 modes. This map takes place inside a Guild test facility, where they're experimenting on human subjects.
  • Primetime arrives at launch as a brand-new medium-size map for 6v6 modes. This map is themed around a Japanese game show obstacle course, and it includes bounce pads and other obstacles.
  • Vertigo also arrives at launch as a standard 6v6 map. This is a remaster of a Black Ops 2 map, and while it is still a very familiar rooftop design, it does have a new Japanese setting.
  • Zenith arrives with the midseason update. This is a brand-new 6v6 map set within a luxurious cliffside manor.
  • Launch returns with the midseason update as a 6v6 map. This is a remake of the Black Ops 1 map set at a missile launch site.
More multiplayer game modes

The season also adds new multiplayer modes. Arriving at launch, Black Ops Classic is a brand-new throwback mode that Activision says is inspired by "classic Black Ops gameplay." This is a moshpit playlist of core modes, including Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed.

Black Ops Classic will restrict various loadout items. Activision also says it will restrict movement, but it doesn't detail how the movement will change. This might be a playlist that restricts Treyarch's new omnimovement.

Mode restrictions: No Overclock Abilities or Perk Combat Specialty bonuses.

Limited loadout selection: Scorestreaks, Perks, Lethal, Tactical, Wildcards, Melee Weapon, Field Upgrades.

Also at launch comes the return of Blueprint Gun Game. This works much like the classic party game version of Gun Game, challenging players to get a kill with each weapon in a set rotation. The difference here is that these weapons will be Black Ops 7's weapon blueprint variants.

Later in the season, a 6v6 Gunfight mode will be added, as well as the return of Team Blueprint Sharpshooter, and the melee-only Knife Fight mode.

More Zombies maps The brand-new Zombies map called Kowakujo

At launch, Season 4 will add the "Nuked" survival map and the Totenreich Starting Room map.

The midseason "Reloaded" update season will introduce another brand-new Zombies map called Kowakujo. This map setting features a Japanese castle near active volcanoes, and it will introduce a brand-new Wonder Weapon.

Endgame

Endgame continues to get new seasonal content with a third act of Operation missions. The mode will feature new challenges and rewards. The season's new Glitch Fracture boss is the Zursa bear from Zombies.

Players will also have the option to prestige their Endgame operators to help expand their loadout, gaining an extra exotic slot, extra nightmare slot, and a fourth skill track.

Warzone's Fortune's Keep returns Fortune's Keep Resurgence map

Originally introduced in Call of Duty: Vanguard, Fortune's Keep returns to Warzone. The map design is mostly the same, but Activision says there will be small updates to some of the points-of-interest.

Warzone limited-time modes

Warzone's 52v52 Clash Mode returns to Verdansk with the launch of Season 4. This large-scale mode features Domination-style capture points, and it allows teams to earn points in various ways. The first team to reach the point limit wins.

Points are by in the following ways:

  • Earn 1 point per elimination
  • Earn 10 points per completed contract
  • Earn 20 points per each bonus crate capture
  • Earn 40 points per each Domination point capture

At the midseason update, Squad Gun Game arrives on the smaller Resurgence maps. This adds Call of Duty's Gun Game to Warzone for the first time ever. Squads will drop into Resurgence maps with the objective of being the first to cycle through a pre-determined number of weapons, eliminating enemy targets to progress to the next weapon. The first squad to cycle through every weapon wins the match.
