Pixar Legends Join the Realm in Wilds Unknown
Wilds Unknown, the next major expansion for Disney Lorcana TCG, marks a historic milestone as it becomes the first set to introduce characters from Pixar films into the game. Releasing on May 8 at local game stores and globally on May 15, this set will feature glimmers based on Toy Story, Brave, and The Incredibles. The storyline follows Disney and Pixar families who find themselves "cast to far-off areas," including the Wilderknot, the Great Empty Sea, and Torchlight Peaks.
Fans can expect two exclusive Iconic cards that will likely become top chase items: Merida - Formidable Archer from Brave and Buzz Lightyear - Jungle Ranger from Toy Story. The set also includes a roster of villains and side characters, such as Sid Phillips in the role of "Toy Surgeon" and the menacing Alien - True Believer.
We were able to exclusively reveal several other unique cards that will appear in this collection:
- The Claw
- Babyhead - Leader of Sid's Toys
- Hand-In-The-Box - Sid's Toy
- Bouncing Ducky - Sid's Toy
Elaine Chase, Head of Category for Trading Card Games at Ravensburger, emphasized the significance of this crossover. She noted that fans can now relive their favorite adventures with Woody and Buzz or join the Parr family against the Omnidroids while collecting cards to build decks for play. Additionally, the set features an upgrade to the Enchanted Cards, which will utilize a new Lore Nouveau art style inspired by Art Nouveau to capture the feeling of discovering new realms.
Future Sets and The Great Hunny Rescue
Looking beyond Wilds Unknown, the Lorecast confirmed that Attack of the Vine! will bring fan favorites from Monsters, Inc. to the game. Characters like Boo, Mike Wazowski, and Sulley will attempt to stop a monstrous vine outbreak when this set launches on July 17 in stores and July 24 globally. Following this, Q4 2026 will see Pixar's Coco take center stage in a new fantastical metropolis also named Hyperia City. The roadmap extends even further with an Onward-themed set scheduled to arrive in Q1 2027.
To cap off the current story arc this fall, players can look forward to Illumineer's Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue. This co-op experience allows players to team up with friends across four difficulty levels to reach a narrative peak. Released in October 2026 for $59.99, more details will be shared at Gen Con 2026.
For those interested in pre-ordering the Wilds Unknown expansion, game stores will host a Prerelease Box on May 8.
