Microsoft has unveiled a vibrant new collection of peripherals, headlined by the highly anticipated Forza Horizon 6 controller and wireless headset. Much like the hardware released for Forza Horizon 5, these limited-edition pieces utilize bright colors and transparent components to reflect the game's Japanese setting. Preorders are now live for fans looking to gear up before the June release.
Vibrant Design of the Forza Horizon 6 Controller
The new Forza Horizon 6 controller is priced at $90 and arrives on June 2. It features a striking transparent cyan blue top case, a metallic gradient, and accents in volt green, hot pink, and silver. The hardware also includes a silver metallic D-Pad and two-tone rubberized diamond grips for enhanced handling.
Microsoft stated the design is inspired by Japan's legendary Touge roads. These winding mountain paths are the birthplace of drifting culture and have been featured prominently in anime such as Initial D.
Immersive Audio with the Limited-Edition Headset
The Forza Horizon 6 wireless headset, retailing for $135, also launches on June 2. This peripheral uses a bold palette of transparent cyan, volt green, and hot pink to capture pit crew and racetrack aesthetics.
One of the most unique features is the inclusion of custom sound effects. When you turn the headset on or mute your microphone, you will hear sounds ranging from the Forza Horizon 6 user interface to roaring Japanese V8 engines.
Connectivity and Accessories
The headset offers wide-ranging compatibility for various platforms:
- Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
- PC, iOS, and Android
- Cloud gaming devices
Players can also complete their setup with the Forza Horizon 6 Limited-Edition 8Bitdo Controller Charging Dock. This accessory is priced at $35 and is set to release on June 8.
