The Sigil of Valor is a powerful new addition to Crimson Desert, introduced in the most recent patch. This unique item allows your pet dogs to leap into combat, providing much-needed assistance during skirmishes. While they aren't always hyper-aggressive, your companions will occasionally snap at bandits or even secure solo kills on weaker enemies.
Think of this mechanic as a scaled-down version of how Silver Fang assists in battle. It is admittedly less effective if you happen to bring a bulldog into a high-stakes brawl, but it adds a layer of charm and utility to your pet management.
How to get the Sigil of Valor in Crimson Desert
To acquire this item, you need to track down Lacey, the Pororin Secret Vendor. She is located in Florindale, situated in the southeast of the Hernand region. Before you can find her, however, you must first unlock access to the area by completing the Unreachable Village questline.
The process for entering the village is unique:
- Attempt to enter the village and get hit by a sleep dart three times.
- An NPC named Arklin (a Shai) will appear to initiate the quest.
- Complete the second stage, "Unauthorized Access," to gain entry.
Completing this questline is highly recommended, as it also grants you the Sotdae of Bond, which is essential for taming birds.
Finding Lacey the Secret Vendor
Lacey does not have a permanent vendor marker on your map, making her a bit of a scavenger hunt. Based on recent sightings, she can be found wandering the path near the large tree in the center of Florindale around 10:00 AM. She appears as a small girl wearing a backpack and will be marked with "???" when you approach her.
Once you locate her, you can purchase several specialized items:
- Sigil of Valor: Allows dogs to attack enemies (8 Silver).
- Sigil of Bonding: Allows cats to sit permanently on your shoulder (8 Silver).
How to equip the Sigil of Valor
Once you have purchased the item, equipping it is straightforward. You must treat the Sigil of Valor just like any other piece of pet armor.
- Open your Pet Menu.
- Select the specific dog you wish to buff.
- Ensure the dog is set as an active pet.
- Select the Sigil from your inventory to equip it to the animal.
Once equipped, your dog will occasionally assist in combat by taking bites out of enemies. While they won't dominate every fight, they are more than capable of helping you thin out a crowd during a chaotic encounter.
