Jens Bergensten, chief creative officer at Mojang, announced the contest, which will allow fans to showcase their creativity and potentially have their work featured in the movie. “We are planning an epic build challenge with amazing prizes,” Bergensten said. “The winning build will actually appear in the movie or the end credits of the movie. We'll also set up private screenings for the finalists.”
Participants are encouraged to create something awesome in a custom map, with four specific biomes chosen to inspire the builds. The finalists will be selected, and the community will have the chance to vote for the winner. As an added incentive, there will be a cape up for grabs for the winner.
