The Wolf Among Us 2 Now Due in 2027, Following Remaster of Telltale's Original Game
Telltale Games has officially confirmed that The Wolf Among Us 2 will launch in 2027, following the release of a remastered version of the original game later this year. During the Summer Game Fest 2026 showcase, the studio revealed that the sequel will be available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
The original The Wolf Among Us was first announced nearly a decade ago, with plans to expand the story of the noir fantasy series based on Fables, the dark fairytale comic book. However, the project has faced numerous challenges, including the closure of Telltale, the brand's revival, a complete reboot of the game, delays, layoffs, and the dissolution of a partnership with AdHoc Studio, which had been working on the sequel for several years.
A New Era for The Wolf Among Us
According to an official description, The Wolf Among Us 2 will take place after the events of the original game, returning players to the shadowy streets of Fabletown — a hidden city where fairytale characters live among humans in modern-day New York. The story follows Snow White as she struggles to maintain order while new forces seek to reshape the city’s underworld.
A brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the delicate balance in Fabletown. Bigby Wolf, the sheriff of the city, finds himself entangled in a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the criminal underworld. As suspicion spreads and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff — and what kind of wolf — he is willing to become.
The remaster of the original game, titled The Wolf Among Us Remastered, will launch this holiday season across PC via Steam and Epic Game Store, PS5, Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox. Telltale promises enhanced visuals, UI, and accessibility features, along with an hour of bonus content that includes deleted scenes and interviews with the game's cast.
