Getting Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2 threw me through a hoop when I first needed to find them to craft the Sonic Resonator. Why? Because unlike the basic materials you'll have been searching for so far, you actually have to make Titanium Ingots using a machine, adding an extra step to the process.
The good news is that it's not actually that hard to do once you figure it out, but you will need to scan and unlock a specific facility to do it. And you'll need to follow the same process with later ingots, such as silver, lead, gold, and lithium.
How to make Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2Unknown WorldsUnknown WorldsTo make Titanium Ingots (and other metal ingots), you need to build a Processor in your base using the Habitat Builder tool. If you haven't unlocked this facility yet, you need to scan one to acquire it as a blueprint. You can find one in the Old Habitat about 350 meters to the north of the Lifepod, where NOA will actually send you to find Quaker's black box.
To build the Processor, you'll need the following materials:
- 2x titanium
- 1x mild acid (made in a Fabricator)
- 1x copper wire (made in a Fabricator)
Place the Processor and interact with it, where you'll be prompted to choose a recipe for the machine to manufacture. Then, press the button to load the ingredients, and it'll automatically start creating the item. In this case, you're looking for the Titanium Ingot at the top of the list, which requires three titanium pieces each and 30 seconds processing time. Be warned that using the Processor will draw additional power from your base, so make sure you have a good cushion of extra electricity.
You'll need Titanium Ingots to make the Sonic Resonator and the Repair Tool, as well as key base elements like the Bioreactor, Tadpole Dock, and the Tadpole vehicle itself. So you'll need lots of titanium, and for that I recommend a large trench by a natural current not far from the Old Habitat, roughly 350-400 meters north of the Lifepod.
You'll need to repeat a similar process later on, but with lithium and Plasteel Ingots to craft the vital High Capacity Air Tank upgrade, and Strong Acid to make Power Cells.
