Last month, SNK revealed that Kenshiro, the legendary star of Fist of the North Star, would serve as the final Season 2 DLC character for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves this June. While May left fans wondering who would fill the gap in the release schedule, the wait is officially over. During a special presentation at Evo Japan, SNK finally unveiled the identity of Fatal Fury’s next DLC.

What to Expect from Fatal Fury's Next DLC

The upcoming character is another crossover entry, but this time, the connection comes from within SNK's own prestigious fighting game portfolio. SNK confirmed that Mr. Karate, the iconic mask-wearing martial artist from Art of Fighting, is the next fighter joining the roster. However, this version of the character introduces a massive twist for long-time fans of the series.

A Familiar Mask with a New Identity

In previous SNK titles, Mr. Karate has traditionally been known as the alter ego of Takuma Sakazaki, the father of Art of Fighting protagonist Ryo Sakazaki and the final boss of the original game. This new iteration of Fatal Fury’s next DLC breaks from tradition by blending elements from different characters into one mysterious figure.

While the character retains the well-known Tengu mask, the man underneath is visually distinct from the Takuma we know. The design features a surprising combination of traits:

  • The signature Tengu mask.
  • A long, flowing ponytail.
  • A professional suit accompanied by a gold chain.
  • The unmistakable appearance of Robert Garcia, Ryo's best friend and Art of Fighting co-protagonist.

This "two crossovers in one" concept promises to bring a unique layer of mystery and gameplay potential to the Fatal Fury roster.
