Arrowhead has officially announced that the Helldivers 2 Exo Experts Warbond is coming to help players "stride with unwavering intent across hostile territory in a march of mech-enhanced Managed Democracy." Scheduled to drop on April 28, this new premium content promises to let players "demonstrate elite performance one prosperous hydraulic step at a time."
New Arsenal in the Helldivers 2 Exo Experts Warbond
The Ministry of Defense has authorized the immediate mobilization of new Exosuits to aid in ongoing war efforts. As noted on the official PlayStation blog, "Machines… Our enemies… But they can also be forces for good, tools at our disposal, and when you need to fight fire with fire it is important to be an Exo Expert."
The upcoming update introduces several heavy-hitting tools for your arsenal:
- EXO-51 Lumberer: A modern reinvention of the classic Lumberers from the first Galactic War, featuring an anti-tank cannon and a flamethrollwer to "purge smaller enemies in the flames of Liberty."
- EXO-55 Breakthrough: A powerhouse equipped with a flak cannon and a ballistics shield, allowing players to lay down heavy fire against Super Earth’s toughest foes.
- MGX-42 Bullet Storm: A disposable machine gun sporting caseless ammunition across multiple barrels.
- SMG-203 Gallant: A submachine gun featuring a high rate of fire that "sacrifices clip size for increased penetration."
- P-33 Missile Pistol: A sidearm utilizing guided, heat-propelled rounds with a lock-on feature "proven to hit its target 60% of the time, every time."
Armor, Perks, and Cosmetic Upgrades
To round out your kit, players can equip the O-2 Heavy Operator armor. This state-mandated uniform is designed for citizens who must operate heavy machinery and includes an Oxygenator perk, allowing you to walk, run, and slide slightly quicker. For the full look, it is best paired with the Watchful Compatriot cape.
The expansion also includes new ways to celebrate your victories:
- The "Exosuit Certified" title.
- The "Thumb of Approval" emote.
- A brand-new victory pose.
Arrowhead recently highlighted the sheer scale of chaos in the second year of Helldivers 2, revealing a staggering 177 million incidents of friendly fire. This includes 34 million accidental deaths caused specifically by the Eagle Strafing Run.
