If you are wondering how to get Agave in Arc Raiders, you aren't alone. While most players know exactly where to find lemons, apricots, and olives in Blue Gate's Olive Grove, Agave is much harder to pinpoint. Much like Prickly Pears, this plant can be incredibly difficult to locate consistently.
This difficulty is a major hurdle because you need eight of these prickly plants to contribute to the new Avian Alarm project. To make matters worse, high demand means many other players are likely vying for the exact same spawn locations.
The Best Locations: How to Get Agave in Arc Raiders
The most reliable method for how to get Agave in Arc Raiders is searching the spiky plants on the hills bordering the Dried Riverbed in Riven Tides. This path leads from the far south of the map almost all the way to the Port Authority Building in the north.
While there are plenty of unique plants in this area, you can only identify which ones are harvestable by approaching them directly. Fortunately, this is also the premier spot for gathering Moss. A single successful run through this region can yield three Agave and 13 Moss, meaning you could finish your collection in just two or three matches.
Alternative Search Areas
If the Riven Tides area has been cleared, you should check the north of Dam Battlegrounds. Specifically, look around the Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence, paying close attention to the plants found along the roads in that sector.
Map Conditions That Increase Agave Spawns
Certain map modifiers and events can significantly boost your chances of finding the plant. Keep an eye out for these three specific conditions:
- Lush Blooms modifier: Agave can spawn inside the wicker basket containers dotted around the maps.
- Bird City event: It is relatively common to find Agave tucked inside chimneys, which are also great for finding Red Coral Jewelry.
- Beachcombing: You can find it while beachcombing on Riven Tides, though this method is much more time-consuming.
Why You Should Collect Agave
Unlike many random items requested by the Avian Alarm project, Agave is well worth the effort of a hunt. You can feed the plant to your pet rooster, Scrappy, to enable a passive gathering mechanic. Once Scrappy is fed, he can begin collecting essential items for you, including Mechanical Components and various high-quality weapon attachments.
