Minecraft Is Down For Everyone, Not Just You
Minecraft, the iconic blocky sandbox game developed by Mojang, is currently inaccessible to players worldwide — a rare occurrence for the long-running title. The last major widespread Minecraft outage occurred in October 2025, when a global Microsoft Azure cloud disruption impacted services, including Minecraft authentication and Xbox Live. This latest incident marks another significant downtime for the game, raising concerns among its vast player base.
Around 12:30 AM PT on June 1, players began to report problems launching Minecraft via platforms like Downdetector. Many encountered an error message when attempting to connect through the Minecraft Launcher: "Oh no! Something went wrong, and we couldn't connect to the Minecraft services. Please connect to the internet to refresh your offline access." A secondary error message read, "We were unable to verify what products you own. Please check your internet connection."
These messages suggest that the issue lies with the authentication servers. As a result, players are unable to log in or may face disruptions in Realms, servers, or multiplayer sessions. The problem is not limited to the official launcher — those trying to open Minecraft through third-party launchers like Prism or Curseforge are also encountering similar issues.
At the time of writing, no updates have been posted from the official Mojang Support X account. The community is eagerly awaiting confirmation and resolution from the developers. We'll continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
