The PowerWash Simulator series has officially announced its most ambitious collaboration yet with the PowerWash Simulator 2 Star Wars DLC. Titled the PowerWash Simulator 2 - Star Wars Pack, this massive expansion is set to launch this summer. Players can prepare to scrub the galaxy on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2.
Cleaning the Galaxy: What’s in the PowerWash Simulator 2 Star Wars DLC?
This new pack brings six unique cleaning jobs spread across the iconic Star Wars galaxy. Players will step into the role of P0-W2, a classic five-labor droid, equipped with an exclusive power washer designed specifically for this mission.
The expansion also features a narrative element set during the events of the original Star Wars trilogy. Based on the initial trailer, players can look forward to cleaning several legendary locations and vessels, including:
- The Lars Homestead on Tatooine (though thankfully without the flaming corpses).
- The interior bridge of a Super Star Destroyer.
- A heavily weathered X-Wing that looks like it was recently dredged from a swamp.
A Dream Realized for FuturLab
While the series has previously featured successful crossover events—such as the Adventure Time themed pack—this represents a major milestone for the developers. During an interview several years ago, the team at FuturLab discussed their long-held hope to eventually secure the Star Wars license.
The pursuit of this partnership was personal for the studio's leadership. According to Elliot Greenwood, the company's licensing and business development manager, the desire for iconic ships was always present.
"Literally, in my interview for this role, James [Marsden, then FuturLab boss] said, 'we want the Millennium Falcon, can you get it?'" Greenwood told Eurogamer. "I was like, 'I'll try my best'."
With the PowerWash Simulator 2 Star Wars DLC officially on the horizon, fans are left wondering if the Millennium Falcon will make its appearance in the final pack. We will have to wait and see as FuturLab prepares for more reveals in the coming months. Just remember: sand gets everywhere.
