The Creative Force Behind the Crossover
This five-issue limited series features a powerhouse creative team. Writer Greg Pak, renowned for his work on Planet Hulk, joins forces with artist Alan Robinson (X-Men Infinity Comic).
The first issue of Predator vs. Planet of the Apes boasts an impressive lineup of cover artists to celebrate the launch:
- Stonehouse
- Ben Oliver
- Skottie Young
- Chris Campana
- Carlos Magno
- Tim Seeley
Worlds Collide: The Plot of Predator vs. Planet of the Apes
The series premise delivers high-stakes sci-fi at its finest. The story begins when a deadly Yautja crash-lands on the legendary Planet of the Apes, instantly disrupting the local ecosystem.
After a rescue mission goes wrong, astronaut Arch finds herself trapped in a hostile society where humans are kept subservient to apes. However, the hunters soon become the hunted as the Predators begin stalking the ape civilization, triggering a massive three-way war between humans, apes, and Yautja.
A Vision of Sci-Fi Legend
Greg Pak expressed immense excitement about the project, citing his lifelong connection to the franchise. “I vividly remember watching the first Planet of the Apes movie on an old 13" black and white television in the early 1980s and having my mind TOTALLY BLOWN,” Pak told Marvel.com.
For Pak, the combination of these two universes is a dream scenario for any sci-fi fan. He noted that both series excel at wild worldbuilding and exploring "deeply organic and compelling" themes of violence and war.
