Actor Who Played Marie Moreau in The Boys Spinoff Gen V Reacts to Series Cancelation

Jaz Sinclair, the actress who played Marie Moreau in The Boys spinoff Gen V, has responded to the news of the series' cancellation with a brief social media statement. Last week, Amazon officially confirmed that Gen V will not be returning for a third season.

The Fate of Marie Moreau in The Boys Spinoff Gen V

The series was set at Godolkin University, a location where young supes train and compete for the chance to be drafted into professional superhero teams. Sinclair’s character, Marie Moreau in The Boys spinoff Gen V, is a standout figure due to her ability to control and weaponize blood.

This specific power makes her potentially more dangerous than even the terrifying supervillain Homelander. While many fans speculated that Marie might be drafted into the fifth and final season of The Boys to help end Homelander's tyranny, showrunner Eric Kripke cast doubt on the theory, noting that she has yet to fully master her abilities.

In a recent post on Instagram, Sinclair teased that she will have much more to say regarding the cancellation of Gen V in the future. For now, however, she wanted to focus on thanking the dedicated fanbase.

“There’s so much I wanna (and will) say, but for today I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Sinclair stated. “I’m so happy you’re here and I’m so grateful for this incredible experience.”

What is Next for the Vought Universe?

Despite the end of Gen V, executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg are committed to continuing the stories of these characters. They have promised that the cast will appear in The Boys Season 5 and other upcoming VCU projects.

Several key projects are currently in the works:

  • The Boys Season 5: The final season will feature a previously unseen supervillain in Episode 5.
  • Vought Rising: A prequel series set in the 1950s, scheduled for release in 2027. It stars Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, alongside Mason Dye (Bombsight), Will Hochman (Torpedo), and Elizabeth Posey (Private Angel).
  • The Boys: Mexico: This project remains in active development.

While Aya Cash is set to return as the villainous Stormfront in Vought Rising, the 1950s setting makes a crossover with the Gen V cast unlikely for that specific show. Fans are now left wondering if the characters will resurface in The Boys: Mexico or other unannounced spinoffs.
